Kita mem-backup upaya penangan terorisme yang dilancarkan Polri,” kata Komandan Satgas Patroli Terkoordinasi (Patkor) India-Indonesia, Kolonel Laut (P) Tatit Eko W kepada Serambi, Sabtu (13/3) saat ditemui di Lounge Room KRI Kapitan Pattimura yang sedang sandar di Dermaga Lanal Sabang.

Menurutnya, pada saat bersamaan TNI AL juga memberikan perhatian serius terhadap peningkatan gangguan alur laut di Selat Malaka, terutama gangguan terhadap kapal-kapal di selat yang menghubungkan tiga negara, Indonesia, Malaysia, dan Singapura.

Patkor Inindo ke-15

Kolonel Tatit yang sehari-hari menjabat sebagai Komandan Satuan Kapal Patroli Koarmabar, menyebutkan kehadiran KRI Kapitan Pattimura di Sabang dalam rangka persiapan mengikuti Patroli Terkoordinasi India-Indonesia (Patkor Inindo) ke-15 yang bakal dibuka hari ini, 15 Maret 2010 di Port Blair, India. Kerja sama patroli yang sudah berlangsung selama 7 tahun ini direncanakan berlangsung dua minggu. Penutupannya bakal digelar di Belawan, Sumatera Utara.

Kegiatan kerja sama antara TNI AL dan Angkatan Laut India itu bertujuan menjamin stabilitas keamanan di wilayah teritorial laut kedua negara dan mengantisipasi adanya kegiatan ilegal di wilayah hukum masing-masing. Patkor ini juga diharapkan mampu mempererat kerja sama antara TNI AL dan Angkatan Laut India. Satgas Patkor Inindo TNI AL diikuti 84 personel KRI Kapitan Pattimura dan delapan personil Satgas. Selain Dansatgas, Patkor Inindo ke-15 ini juga diikuti Komandan KRI Kapitan Pattimura, Letkol Laut (P) Joko Triwanto serta Danlanudal Sabang Mayor Laut (Pnb) Heru. Keberangkatan Satgas Inindo ke-15, dilepas Danlanal Sabang Kolonel Laut (E) Yanuar Handwiono, Minggu (14/3) di Dermaga Lanal.
